I have been here twice for breakfast and both times, it was outstanding. The porridge with compote was absolutely delicious. Coffee fab and staff lovely.

One of our regulars in Whitley Bay. Food is good; staff are friendly. Quiche, waffles, bacon, sausages are their best items in my opinions. Coffee is good and served in good temperature. Nothing beats a nice warm coffee /tea in the coastal winter.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and really good staff—if you're around Whitley Bay, this could be your spot to enjoy a good selection of food and coffee. We came here for brunch and tried the panini and eggs royale; both were fresh and offered great value for money. The hot chocolate was absolutely one of the best I've had. The affogato could have been better with a little more ice cream.

I had been down the road to another cafe whose only vegan options were those with the cheese omitted. Finding this place was a godsend, a variety of delicious vegan options that have had some thought gone into them. I had the vegan bagel (sausage, hash brown, v cheese & tomatoes, etc..) it was one of the tastiest things I’ve eaten in a long time. They also have nice beer.

Lovely food and amazing staff. I had a medical emergency whilst there and the care and kindness they demonstrated was superb. Highly recommend

Tasty food and a nice atmosphere. Thirteen has an incredible menu, with extensive breakfast food and lots of nice sandwiches. We went with our newborn, though the cafe isn't huge, more long, the staff and other patrons were very accommodating. My husband got a breakfast bagel, which was tasty and filling. I got a classic tuna melt and it was nice. The Star of the show was the French toast. Soft with an amazing hit of a cinnamon and really tasty berry compote. We wish had had one each. Not too pricey. They had lovely cakes and lots of other food to buy.

This place is lovely. I walk past it far too many times when I come through after playing at Crescent Club, but a friend brought me here and salmon bagel I had was insane. Coffee is very good. Yesterday, I remembered to come and chill here and I enjoyed an espresso on a table outside. Brilliant. The furniture's really nice and the weather, tables and decking made me feel like I was on the mainland. I felt so relaxed afterwards. Definitely coming here again.

Managed to get a table on a Saturday lunch time which was nice. Good selection of fresh made food available and also a great selection of cakes and treats. The staff were really nice and helpful - the card machine kept failing and the person working kept apologising which was not needed at all! The toilet was nice and clean - only one though. There’s outside seating as well but not totally accessible inside because of the size of it. Fair prices on food too. I had eggs Benedict and my friend had the breakfast bagel and pistachio cake. Pictures below and menu pictures as well.
